Regular Season Round 4: Qadsia - Al Ittihad 91-83

Round in West Asia Super League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Kuwait City where host KuwaitiQadsia (2-0) beat league's leader Saudi Arabian Al Ittihad (1-1) 91-83 on Wednesday evening. Qadsia looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-1987, college: Texas A&M) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Croatian Tomislav Zubcic (213-1990) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. Four Qadsia players scored in double figures. Qadsia's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kenyan-Australian power forward Makur Maker (212-2000, college: Howard) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Antwan Scott (185-1992, college: Colorado St.) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Qadsia went down to seventh position due to points difference, which they share with Shabab Al Ahli and Kuwait. Al Ittihad at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with one game lost. They share the position with Al Arabi. They were replaced at the leadership position by Al Wahda.
